Dr. Chia-Kai Huang, an Atayal from Taian Township, Miaoli County, received his Ph.D. in 2020 from the Department of Education at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), specializing in Educational Policy and Administration. He currently serves as an Assistant Research Fellow at the Center for Indigenous Education Research within the National Academy for Educational Research (NAER).

In his teaching career, Dr. Huang previously served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at NTNU's College of Teacher Education and the Center for Indigenous Research and Development. During his tenure there, he taught courses including Educational Policy and Law, Indigenous Peoples' Policies and Regulations, Introduction to Taiwan Indigenous Cultures, and Indigenous Education. Currently, he is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Bachelor’s Degree Program for Indigenous Peoples of Sports Training Science at National Taiwan Sport University, where he teaches courses such as Tribal Escort and Guidance Interpretation and Tribal Society and Communication Culture Seminar. Through these roles, Dr. Huang has cultivated extensive teaching experience in Indigenous-related coursework.

Dr. Huang Has Published More Than 40 Articles in Important Academic Journals and Conferences, Includes Key Journals in the Area of Education Policy and Administration. His Research Focuses on Issues Such as Indigenous Education, Teacher Education, Higher Education and Comparative Education. Dr. Huang's research focuses on four main issues: 

I. Research on Indigenous Education - policies and systems of indigenous education, educational equity

II. Research on Teacher Education - bilingual education

III. Research on Higher Education - talent cultivation, internationalization of education, evaluation of education

IV. Research on International Comparative Education - policies and systems, tuition policies, lifelong education
